West Cerchar Rock Abrasiveness Tester
The West Cerchar rock abrasiveness tester is used to determine the Cerchar Abrasivity Index (CAI) value in accordance with the ASTM D7625- 10 standard or ISRM method.
This test is a laboratory method to calculate the Cerchar abrasivity index Test was originally developed by the Laboratoire du Centre d’Etudes et Recherches des Charbonnages (CERCHAR) de France for coal mining applications.
An accurate stainless steel dead weight is used for axial test loads of 70 N in combination with a cross-table. The cross-table allows for the highly precise movement of samples which is clamped in the vice of the device.
Note: The main device requires microscope to measure wear flat on the pins.
We manufacture two models for Cerchar test device with Portable cross table with 2 adjustable axes for specimen alignment along the two horizontal axes (X and Y directions) or just one adjusting axis.
