Temperature Controlled Hollow Cylinder Apparatus (THM)

The Hollow Cylinder Apparatus enables the operator to apply rotational displacement and torque to a hollow cylindrical or soil specimen of soil. This modular testing apparatus is suitable for static and dynamic test and can simulate the complex loading conditions at a point in a soil Specimen. The device can also be used as a cyclic triaxial testing device by changing the upper and lower pedestals into solid ones. It is capable of testing axial strain levels lower than 0.00001 %.

Different temperature ranges for frozen tests or high temperature tests or both are also available.
