Automatic Pressure / Volume Controller (VPC)

Automatic Electromechanical pressure volume controllers made by Wille Geotechnik® are syringe pulse-less pumps which precisely generate and regulate pressure and provide flow control precisely in a variety range for different applications.

This device is used for applications related to the control of pressure or flow rate for various fluids and gases in laboratory tests like water, oil or air pressure and also available for aggressive media.

Different modes of pressure control e.g. constant pressure, pressure ramps, constant volume flow is available with using of this pump. The pressure piston inside the cylinder is moved by a precision stepping drive which enables the volume change measurement. There are variety range of pressures up to 330 bar and volume ranges up to 1000ml which covers many applications in geotechnical testing fields.

  • The twin pumps can be upgraded by Automatic valve system to generate continuous pulse-free flow for long term tests. It comes with automatic refill system to eliminates monitoring internal level of volume of each pump. In this configuration, when the first pump is injecting media, the other cylinder refills itself completely. Once refilling process is finished, the cylinder will be pressurized to the same working pressure as the other cylinder and stays as slave one until the primary cylinder gets empty.
  • Two pumps are switching their position as Primary/Slave during test.The switching time is less than a second between pumps.
  • Temperature control of pressurized media up to 60C degree.
  • Special version with high corrosion resistant pressure chamber for pressure/volume controlling of special fluid (sea water or etc.) and gases (like He, CO2, CH4, N2 and etc.) with high quality-controller for any corrosion test.

The Pressure Volume Controller is controlled out via GEOsys software which is configured for each testing unit per as customer’s ordered parameters. The software operates the system and collects test data as defined for each test.
